be held the first Thursday of every
month at the Maytown Fire Hall adjacent
to Fuhrman
Park. Next
meeting is June 5th , 2008 at 7:00 PM. Officers and Coaches are required to attend. Parents are also encouraged to attend this monthly meeting.
 Assistant Referee Coordinator Needed
DYS is currently looking for an assistant referee coordinator. This individual would be involved in all aspects of our U8 and junior referees program. This is a tremendous opportunity for someone either looking to get involved with the club or for someone looking for a senior class project. No experience is necessary. The only requirement is availability on most Saturdays during the Fall season. The assistant coordinator would work with the club's referee coordinator to build the U8 referee schedules and would be on-site on game days to monitor referee activities. Then report back to the referee coordinator. This person would also be involved in the junior referee program by arranging the training sessions and subsequently assigning games to the junior referees.  DYS Forward-Pass Program
Do you have any old and unwanted soccer equipment sitting in a lonely corner in your home? Do you need some way of getting rid of the clutter? Consider donating some of your old and unwanted soccer equipment to Donegal Youth Soccer. We will accept your old cleats, shinguards, balls and most other soccer equipment and pass them on to less fortunate families in our area so that they can also enjoy the thrill and excitement of soccer. We believe that everyone has the right to play. If you would like to donate your old equipment to the club, please contact Robin Roden or Libby Foreman.
 Kick 4 A Cure
Donegal Youth Soccer is proud to support the Kick 4 A Cure campaign this season. DYS will be donating funds to this important cause to help the fight against breast cancer. On the weekend of May 10th and May 11th, many soccer clubs around Lancaster will be supporting this charity event.
Fall Travel Try-Outs
The dates for the Fall Travel Team Try-Outs have been announced. The Try-Outs will be held during the week of May 19th.
Boys Try-Outs will take place on May 19th and 21st at 6:00 PM.
Girls Try-Outs will take place on May 20th and 22nd at 6:00 PM.
The location for the Try-Outs is tentatively scheduled for Donegal Middle School soccer fields. However, this information is subject to change. Please keep checking back on this website for any updated information.
ALL travel players must try out. Players who were carded travel players for the 2007-2008 season will need to try out again for the 2008-2009 season. We request that parents please pre-register your child if he/she is planning to try out. You may pre-register be contacting Libby Foreman.
Memorial Day Parade
All the players and coaches at DYS have been invited to participate in this year's Memorial Day parades in Mount Joy and Marietta. The dates for these parades are May 24th for the Mount Joy parade and May 26th for the Marietta parade. Please ask your team coach for more details if you are interested in participating. Or contact Amanda Wagner with questions.
Please consider volunteering some of your time to invest in the lives of our children. DYS is always looking for volunteers. There is a volunteer form located on the "Sign-Up" page as well as the "Volunteer" page. There are many positions available.
