Referee Information

DYS Intramural Games

DYS Intramural programs And Me, U-6 & U-8 play games without referees.

Coaches provide on-field instruction during the games to players.

DYS U10 & U12 Recreational Games

Referees for U-10 & U-12 games must be at least 14 years old.  Referees do not need to be certified, but knowledge of the Laws of the Game, and associated rules for the levels of play is required.  

DYS will assign referees to U10 & U12 home games.   We will assign certified referees before using 'qualified' referees.

 

DYS U15 Recreational Games

Center Referees for U-15 games must be certified by U.S. Soccer and be at least 15 years old..  

Assistant Referees for U-15 games are not required to be certified and must be at least 14 years old.  

DYS will assign referees for U-15 home games and will use certified AR's before using 'qualified' AR's.

DYS U19 Recreational Games

Center Referees for U-19 games must be certified by U.S. Soccer and be at least 19 years old.

Assistant Referees for U-19 games must be certified by U.S. Soccer and must be at least 17 years old.  

DYS will assign certified referees for U-19 home games.

Select Leagues

All referees for Select soccer games games must be certified by U.S. Soccer. 

DYS does not assign referees for Select games.

LANCO league games are assigned by Darrell Bohannon.  You can reach out to him through email at djbohannon@comcast.net.

US Soccer Referee Registration

The Eastern Pennsylvania Soccer Association Referee Committee (EPSARC) serves new and continuing referees in Eastern Pennsylvania.

Donegal Youth Soccer values its officials and understands the importance of education in the process of building a roster of referees. As such, DYS has established the following guidelines for the reimbursement of costs associated with referee certification.
